Sub: Setting up of Centralized Processing Centre(CPC) in Chennai to handle backend operations and interoperability in CBS - reg. 

This is regarding setting up a Centralized Processing Centre(CPC) for CBS in Chennai which needs to work in close coordination with various teams of CBS vendor application, CEPT CBS, IPPB DOP CBS, CBS O & M and Infra vendor etc.,. 

The proposed CPC will become one of the most important establishments for effective management and coordination of Postal banking operations in the future. 

One post of ASP has been redeployed exclusively for CPC Chennai vide ESB/15- 446/2022 dated 27.04.2023 which is placed under the control of Chennai GPO for pay and allowances vide CO memo no.ESB/15-CPC/2023 dated 20.12.2023. 

In this regard, I am directed to call for willingness of officer working under your Region/Unit in ASP cadre to work in the CPC proposed to function at Circle Office, Chennai to handle backend operations and Interoperability in CBS. 

In this regard, the following is intimated: 

1. The willingness of ASPs to work at CPC which is proposed to function at Circle Office under the administrative control of Director, CPC Chennai. Pay and allowances will be drawn by the Chennai GPO. 

2.The applications of the willing officers may be forwarded with the recommendations of the Divisional/ Regional Heads only. 

3. The officer should specifically inform while applying that he/she is willing to forego TA/TP/JT etc.

4. The officer should have adequate knowledge of POSB Banking products, Banking norms, CBS & IPPB operations, Operational knowledge of Finacle and must be technically sound 

5. The last date of receipt of application at Circle Office is 28.12.2023.The bio-data of the willing officers in the enclosed proforma along with vigilance clearance may be forwarded to this office by the Region/Units
