Sub: Declaration of result of Competitive Examination for recruitment to the cadre of MTS from eligible GDS for the vacancy year 2023 (01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023) held on 30.04.2023 in Andhra Pradesh Circle — Reg. 

I am directed to intimate that Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) among MTS for promotion to Postman/Mail Guard for the vacancies of the year 2023 and Competitive Examination among GDS for recruitment for the unfilled LDCE vacancies of Postman/Mail Guard and vacancy of MTS for the vacancy year 2023 (01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023) was held on 30.04.2023 (Common Examination) as per the notification issued vide this office letter No. RE/APCO/3-7/CE/2023 dated 16.03.2023 in accordance with the Directorate instructions contained in Letter No. 17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 05.04.2022. 

2. The Provisional and Final Answer Keys (of Series A, B, C & D) of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III of the above LDCE/Competitive Examination held in Andhra Pradesh Circle were already displayed in the departmental website - www. indiapost.gov.in. 

3 In pursuance of Directorate instructions contained in Letter No. 17-08/2018-SPN-1 dated 05.04.2022, the candidates who qualified in Paper-I and Paper-III separately shall be considered for final selection to MTS posts and the Merit List will be prepared only on the basis of total marks secured in Paper-1 since Paper-III is qualifying in nature. The result has been compiled taking the score in Paper-I as merit and also in accordance with the procedure prescribed vide Directorate L. No. 17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 15.06.2022. 

4. Now, the Competent Authority is pleased to announce the result of GDS candidates who had appeared in LDCE/Competitive Examination held on 30.04.2023, for recruitment/appointment to the posts of MTS for recruiting/parent Division/Unit as detailed below:

5. The selection of candidates in Annexure-II is provisional and subject to fulfillment of conditions of relevant recruitment rules for appointment to the cadre of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS). 

6. The Divisional/Unit Heads, before giving appointment to the selected candidates should ensure that, the selected candidates fulfill all required conditions of relevant Recruitment Rules of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS). Also, the Divisional/Unit Heads are advised to re-check all the pre-requisite conditions prescribed for candidates, with reference to their recommendations made while forwarding the application forms before appointment of selected candidates. 

7. Before appointment, it should be ensured that, no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending or contemplated or punishment is in force against the successful/selected/allotted candidates. If, any such case exists, the same should be referred to this office. 

8. The information relating to name(s) of the candidate(s), Roll Number(s) and Category(ies) etc have been shown on the basis of information furnished by the Regions/Divisions/Units. In case of any difference/mistakes in the details of candidate(s), the same may be intimated to this office for necessary action. 

9. The names of the candidates have been arranged in the order of merit in the examination. The inter-se rank/merit of candidates who have secured equal marks has been decided as per Directorate’s instructions/guidelines in Letter No. 04-08/2019-SPN-I dated 11.12.2020. 

10. The candidates of reserved category i.e., SC/ST who are shown as qualified on merit and selected against UR vacancies should be adjusted against UR vacancies in the Roster.

11. In case, if it is found subsequently that any of the selected candidate(s) was not eligible to take the examination under the existing rules/instructions on the subject or for any reasons or in case of any mistake is found with regard to announcement of results of any candidate for any reason whatsoever his/her name will be deleted from the list of successful candidates. Further, in case at any time, it is detected that the selected candidate had applied and appeared the examination with false information/declaration or data, his/her selection will be cancelled without any notice. 

12. It may be ensured that no provisionally permitted candidate is given appointment without regularization of his/her candidature. The Divisions/Regions are directed to verify the current status of the candidature of the qualified candidates before issuing the offer of appointment to the promoted post/cadre. 

13. The Division/Unit Heads should ensure timely issue of offer of appointment letters to the successful candidates so that the selected candidates/officials join in their respective offices of posting at the earliest as per extant rules. 

14, The Divisional Heads are requested to issue necessary selection/appointment orders to the successful candidates on_or before 18.01.2024 positively clearly indicating that if the official does not join the promotional post within seven (07) days it will be deemed to have been refused/declined the appointment. Official on leave may be allowed to join even after seven days if they communicate in writing to accept the selection/appointment and in that case the official will be allowed after expiry of approved leave period. Controlling Officers are advised to contact such successful/selected candidates who are on leave for obtaining their consent to join the appointed post in writing. Similarly, candidates who do not wish to join appointed posts may be encouraged to communicate the same in writing. 

15. The Divisional/Unit Heads are also requested to ensure timely issuance of appointment letters so that officials can join in their respective offices of posting at the earliest. The guidelines issued vide Directorate letter No.W-04/2/2020-SPN-I-Part (1) dated 19.10.2020 may be taken into consideration while issuing appointment order.
